The academic programs of Trinity Christian Academy are based on the belief that a Bible-based, Christ-centered education is the very best education parents can provide for their children.
The elementary, middle, and high schools use the A Beka, Bob Jones, and ACSI curriculum in addition to educationally appropriate secular materials. Course selection and development is a cooperative effort of the administrative team, the guidance department, and the faculty. Special care is taken to ensure that students receive the best materials available and are provided the course work needed to prepare for college.
All students are required to successfully complete a daily Bible curriculum designed to provide a thorough understanding of God's love, salvation by grace, and a Christian philosophy of life. In addition to the core curriculum, students are also provided with opportunities in physical education, music, art, computer lab, library, and foreign language.
Computer assisted instruction is available in the classrooms to enhance academic progress of gifted students and those needing remediation. Students learn to use computers in the fully equipped computer lab.
Students participate in TCA annual science fairs, spelling bees, math competitions, and geography bees. High scoring students represent TCA at regional contests.
The SAT (Stanford Achievment Test-10th Edition) is given in the spring to the students to evaluate their progress. Copies of test results are mailed with the final report card for the year and compare achievement levels to national norms.
