Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF)

The mission of Trinity Christian Academy's Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is to serve TCA's teachers and students by engaging parents in volunteer service to the school community.

We strive to accomplish this mission by:

  • Raising money to support TCA
  • Providing fellowship opportunities for Trinity families
  • Encouraging volunteerism
  • Providing hospitality for the TCA staff and school guests
  • Encouraging 100% membership in PTF

Membership is open to all parents of Trinity Christian Academy children. PTF activities are funded by a portion of the Activity fee. In matters brought before the PTF, each family has one vote.

The officers of PTF are President, Vice President, and Secretary elected by a simple majority of members present at the election meeting. Officers must have at least one year experience as a Trinity parent. A nominating committee will prepare a recommended slate of candidates for the Principal's approval before submitting the slate for voting. Officers will be elected in the spring for the following year.

Coordinators for specific activities will be selected as needed. Some of these are: Volunteer Coordinator, Room parent coordinator, Spirit Night Coordinator and Auction Coordinator.

One parent from each class of all grades will serve as Room parent. They are selected in the fall. No previous school experience is necessary.

Meetings will be held once a month after drop off in the Library

PTF Activities include:

  • Coordinating volunteers and room parents
  • Hosting annual dinner auction
  • Serving Grandparents Day breakfast
  • Assisting with picture days
  • Hosting TCA spirit nights
  • Staffing the Christmas store and bookfairs
  • Coordinating teacher appreciation week and teacher breakfast
  • Celebrating staff birthdays
  • Assisting with Art Trek and Walk-a-thon
